every now and then someone will bring something to my attention that I didn't previously realise. But in all honesty most people state opinions and normative statements and treat them as facts instead of backing up shit they say empirically.

I like to prove somebodies stupidity, eg-dspin7x arguing with me over whether Bush was democratically elected, when he was obviously appointed by the supreme court.

However, debating politics is a way of learning, not only about yourself, but about how other people view the world. Debating, in the civilzed form, like in the DL is extremely useful.

I enjoy a debate. It's a great way to practicing the art of argument and understanding. Debates can bring others opinions and perspectives to light as well as help you to better understand yours. It can indeed get me places.

inflation... its way way up because of the decision bush has made. he made the decision to fight now we cant get oil, so dmand is still their but supply, NO. so prices go up.

SS... their you go again making assumptions the SS will dissapear. your just stating another opinion their or is it proven its going to die? are you a time traveler, cuz that the only way you could answer yes to that being a fact.

medical... i get all my scripts at half the cost they are here in america, at a good ol' place called canada. bush wants to keep raising medical cost, for some reason, and wont let us have them even when we NEED them to live no matter what. its bush's way of knocking off a few more people to get the population back down to standards.

people are going to die everyday if we stick with this plan, and believe me we arent going anywhere for a LONG long time now that bush has started the fight.

we always have to be the instigator, when it could be solved many different ways.

why dont we use technology to help fight, use remote planes with cameras and fire power. then no soldiers have to die for stupid costs. we have better stuff available but ush would rather see a battle and get a kick outta watching 18 year old be tortured and demolished.

we are the future and hes killing us off. i say why not get people that want to fight this war yet wont enlist to get their asses over their. and people that are forced to go should have some decision whether or not they feell the need to kill people that have their own standards of living.

the countries just differnt, and who are we (ie Bush) to say whats right and wrong?

when are we who came up with all the laws and standards?

if you really think about it, what does anything really mean?

i mean... what does a word really mean, we jsut made up the words for each object. and go by that standard. now we have a standard of war and we stick by it, even if its wrong.

I really should stop reading D-Loc's posts because I am truly beginning to believe they are making me stoopider.

Bush has actually INCREASED the tax burden on the wealthy. D-Loc has also apparently failed to notice the FACTS that I provided regarding the economy the last two years.

And D-Loc has failed to recogniz that SS is failing and numerous Senators from both sides have stated that if there is no drastic reform soon it will be gone
