Well considering this entire thread seems to be about violent crime I think it's pretty useless of a stat.

That quote is from your article, and it was weird they didn't actually link the study they were talking about which was the consequences of purely layoffs. Minneapolis had 100 cops quit and then defunded as a knee jerk reaction to social pressure. They didn't have a plan, and that was always going to go poorly.
Property crime has also gone down in the past year does that mean its proof defunding reduces crime?
