Poles

yeah go jack a pair of rental poles or something, poles arent really worth spending any money on unless you dont have anything better to buy.

good poles should be light. they make flexible one that are shitty for racing because they bend so you loose strenght, but we don't care about that do we? they break less I guess. but good poles cost a lot. I don't think they worth paying that much

first of all this should be in ski gear. and yes armada poles are sick. nice handles, dont break or bend or dent very easily. ive had mine for 1 and a half seasons and they now only have one small dent in them.

well you can drop alot of money on poles, a really really really good pole is like 200, but if youre smart you pic up the 5 to 20 dollar poles

yeah there dope if you like paying a assload of money for poles you'll prolly break before the end of the season, nevertheless i do agree they look sick but i just wouldnt wanna pay that much money for a pair of poles

they have joystick carbon poles on evogear.com... they are 50 bucks instead of the regular 100 poles, but its stupid to drop even 50 bucks on a pair of poles that may just break in a few weeks

armada poles are real nice, but you have to cut them to your size. scott's are nice too, if you get like series 4 they will last you forever

Ice Usa made the best poles, unfortunately they have been out of business for a while now. They are the only poles I have never broken or bent. 100% solid carbon shaft, nothing else even compares.

I had K2 Silencer Poles for a while and they sucked. The strap always ripped out, and they chipped really easy. So I got Armada T-halls, and they are bomb.

does anyone know what a good pair of bombproof poles are? The armada poles have nice graphics, but are they any sturdier than the other poles? If someone could recommend a strong pair of poles, that would be great

your never gunna find a bomb proof pole.

aluminum will bend and carbon and graphite ones will chip and shatter.

your best bet is a good strong aluminum pole like the scott series 4 they are strong as hell i have had them the past three seasons and they hold up great

get some steel rod about an inch thick and cut it to desired length weld on baskets and cut in grips. then u will have a bomproof pole. it will just weigh a hell of a lot more than u want it to.

Preferably aluminum over carbon or graphite

Aluminum will bend while carbon and graphite sometimes break. A bent pole is alot better to land on than a razor sharp edge

Personally I don't think it is worth ever paying for a pair of poles. Its one expense you can make do with out. They don't make that big of a difference and you make go through 1-5 pairs a season. Hit up your rental shop, local dump, or lost and found

i just customized my own poles and spray painted them there sick
