Poles

do u think poles should be short or long cuz if you have short ones they're easy to move and they're lighter but longer poles give you more balance. Any thoughts on this one?

I always get my poles so that when I'm holding them, my forearm is at a 90 degree angle. *shrug* That's just how people have told me to measure them all my life

i got some shitty poles... and my friend hit some kid in the head with one... now its all bent... bent poles are the way to go.. its badass

Just because you buy cheap poles doesn't mean you will have to replace them every month. That only happens if you really suck at skiing and fall on your poles all the time. I got my $10 poles at the beginning of this season and have fell on them a few times but they aren't even bent yet. It is definitely not worth spending $60 or whatever on nice poles. There are good poles for half that all over the place.

i have the scott evil secret poles and i love them, they look sick to, super light and everything, the right one is bent a little because i fell in the pipe on it, but there still holding up extremely well. ive skiied 34 days this year and there not broke. also i get my poles the same way as the dude a few posts up. im 6'2 and have 52' poles so yeah, i think the my poles dont touch the ground style is a little homo, but thats just me. im going to rock these till they break though, then ill get whatever i feel like, but my rule always is to spend less than 50 bucks on them. the evil secrets were 35, so yeah idk how much joysticks are. and to those of you who ride with carbon fiber poles, i broke 2 pair last season, but maybe thats just me?

'what?' Lauren every time you ask her a question for the first time!
