Poles or no poles?

Dammit! i was looking through this thread hoping someone hadn't posted this yet.

Although to the OP, first I used poles that were too long for me, which was a terrible experience, then I started going no poles for a year.

It felt pretty good, but after watching video of myself and seeing how unsteezy I looked, I switched back to using some little chopstick-sized poles. IMO using poles will almost always look a lot better than no poles, unless you have an ungodly amount of steeze (wallisch or dadali)

"using poles is like getting blown by a dude who knows what he's doing. It feels really good, but then you look down and realize you're gay." -Steve Stepp

Poles are like rods, and in my experience ive never met a girl who doesnt like a nice rod. Lesbians out of the picture that is. so poles are a win.

I dont know what to do with my hands when i dont use poles, but if its only 2 degrees out ill ditch the poles and roll my hands up in my gloves.

depends on what you're feelin. if you're just messin around hiking one feater then leave em on the ground but if you're taking laps or skiing pow they help

Lately I have been rockin' no poles in the park and I love it. Just feels so much more versatile and fun. Pow days and most winter days I use poles, though.

Anyone that hates on no poles needs to give it a shot. I'll admit I used to hate on it myself and now I find myself using no poles about 50% of the time I ski. It really all depends on the conditions.

My favorite times to use no poles are hiking rails, hot laps in the park, and best of all resort pow days on center mounted fattys!
