Poles or no poles

sorry if i came off as a dick; im not trying to be. its just that poles or no poles is one of the most discussed topics on here with tons of identical threads so there isnt really a need to make a new one

...geez chill man he answered your question promptly and positively. In my opinion poles of some kind, even if theyre too short to touch the ground...i just think a skier needs them in his hands but to each his own.

well lets see

a) do whatever the fuck you want, i dont see why you need anyones opinion on it

b) just try it, its not like it costs extra money to ski without poles.....

and c) fucking searchbar. this and tom wallisch are pretty much half the threads on ns. before you make a thread think, hmmm could this have possibly maybe been discussed before on NS?

yea i agree that search bars just gay it gets me more confused than y people have to be dicks about people asking a question

and i ski with poles skied without um and i hated it so id say poles man

Do you really need help to drop your poles?

1. Release grip from pole.

2. Pole will fall on ground.

3. Repeat process for other hand.

4. Go ski.

Let me know if you need some more help.

god damn it ok you dont need permission from us. if you dont want poles then dont use them.

i personaly think poles look better. i ride with no poles for fun somtimes

First of all this thread is a waste of space, second release the grips on the poles and you will be on your way to the success of riding with no poles. Have a good day!

hmmm, its pretty easy to answer this question...because its in FIFTY MILLION OTHER THREADS!!!!! eh, im to lazy to searchbar either, but I have to have poles. I just recently shortend them though. The only time I dont use poles is summer sesh, I dont need them.

ya thats what i do. i learn all my new tricks without poles to. and for the OP this thread has been made a MILLION times before. i know somone already said that but i just had to say it again. not trying to be a jackass or anything. *cough* *cough* *searchbar*

Instructions:

1. go to top of park, find tree or something else you can use to hide items

2. take pole straps off of wrist

3. place poles behind object from #1

4. ski without poles

5. decide if you like it more with or without poles

6. kill self

Sugar Dorzynski, has some of the sickest no pole steeze iv ever seen.

and in T-Wall's Super Unknown edit 95% of his park shots were no poles and it looked a hell of a lot better than when he uses poles.

again, follow these^

I hate to join in on this thread because this is the millionth time it was asked...but, I will say that some people can look super good in park w/o poles. IMO you have to be super steezy to pull it off and not look gay, but if you are not filming and prefer it for learning, then go without, no need to ask permission!! I may spend a bit more time next year w/o poles since I will actually be spending a good amount of time in park and it can help progressing.

Lastly, MUCH, MUCH WORSE than no poles is poles that never touch the ground. If you use those, go give them to a 4 year old on the bunny slope! It's like you don't know how to use poles, but want to have something worthless in your hand because you are embarresed that you don't want to use poles.

umm idk you fuck head maybe the people who have been on NS longer than a day are fucking tired of talking about the same shit over and over and over again.

This thread is ultimate summer ns

There is hate everywhere bahaha

I know there are a a ton of other threads on this but i just thought i'd give you my two cents and it is to just give it a go and if you dont like it then just pick up your poles again plain and simple. I do it all the time sometimes i just dont feel like having them so i ditch them. Do what ever you feel is right bud.

Yeah, but it's not like this guy has made lots of repeat threads. I mean look at his threads-

Wat binding shud i get

which boot

mounting blends

I mean do whatever feels right to you.Personally I think it looks bad and it throws me off balance when I'm just riding aroundbut idk do what you want.

The only time i ski wihout poles is when i have skiers thumb and on my summer set up when i get bored other than that i use poles.

If you have a locker or something, leave your poles in there and that way you can see if you like it. I dont like poles in the park, but theyre nice in the BC on traverses and stuff, even tho i dont use em much. U might like super short poles also

its up to you. For me, skiing with no poles makes it awkward because theres no way to get more speed and i just dont like it. But does it really matter what we think about you?
