lolz.its not a trend.. it has so many obvious advantages in certain settings..
i don't use poles most of the time when I ski because I would be an idiot if I did...they get in the way of shovels, rakes, drills and other objects or tools.
when you ski without poles that much because of your job, then when you ski for fun its really easy to not use poles either especially in the park.
no poles is laid back and chill and i know people who have fucked themselves up with their poles on sketchy landings and catching edge on flats too..
so rock the poles all you want, we could really care less if you drop the poles or not.. but no poles is not a trend, some people do it because of their job, and other people just like the freedom of it..
seriously, think about all the park crew skiers you've seen skiing around..if they don't have tools in their hand, do they have poles? Nope...
