Poles fitting

how should your poles fit i have heard thay should be so you hold them and your arm angle should be 0 degrees what do you guys think? is this a good way of measuring poles ?

when the pole is upside down, when your arm is at a 90 degree (right) angle, the top of your hand should touch the basket. Thats for freeriding though so if you're skiing park you would probably want them to be shorter so they don't get in the way.

Purely preferential. Big mountain skiers might like longer poles for pole planting, and park skiers like shorter poles so they don't get in the way, and they're a little more durable. But it comes down to what's more comfortable for you.
