most of the time, i keep mine on, but ive heard a few stories of people breaking their wrists and fingers and stuff from keeping their pole straps on, do you keep your pole straps on or off?

yea.. i keep mine on.. its a habit.. i was tought to use 'em when i was little and now i put them on without thinking

i always wear them on, i feel naked without them, although most of my friends dont use them. like u said u dont have to hike for them, realy ive never had any trouble with them twisting my wrist.

i took mine off a while ago and crochet a sick pair of pole straps for next season..so that way if they have enough preasure put on them that it would break my thumb or wrist the strap will break 1st

on...dont u hate it when u crash and u have to hike up the 60ft long 34 degree (or 2ft 5 degree) landing just to get ur poles?

on all them time except in tight trees. i was taught to take em off in the trees in case ur pole gets caught in somthin and i always just do it.

I chipped and dislocated my left thumb this year and tore a ligament in my right, from falling on my hands with straps tight. I'm going to keep them off most of the time from now on.

On, but I take them off in the park, ive had some thumb injuries and maybe this will lesson the reoccurence of an injury.

i almost dislocated my shoulder using pole straps so now i never use them, except when im hiking once in a while and just let them drag.

on unless i'm skiing really tight trees. My uncle has dislocated his thumb a few times from catching a pole on a tree.

on always, i didnt have straps for a while to use, but the second i got some new straps those things went right on there

Off. I dont have any reason for them. I never let go of them when I fall, and I know people who have broken their wrists because of them.

tree sking leave off because if its catches a tree there goes ur arm. but in the park i find that it is a good idea to keep em on so that you dont accidentially drop it on landing. there is nothing scaryer then kicking up a landing to get a pole

on......almost can't ski with them off....plus they on your hands when do somep prettty crazy stuff.

ive read that if you dont wear them right you can fuck your hand/wrist. i only put them on if im about to try something gnar out, so i dont lose them if i bail
