sucks to be you, try poleless its fun. just tell your dad who porbably rakes in over 500k a year to get you some new ones so you can try to do your first rail
there is someone who targets poles who hasn't been caught. I lost a pair there too. Usually you don't hear about stolen poles - there is a higher incidence of poles stolen so it seems
just get poles that are "unstealable" like mine. i just leave mine wherever, and i know that if they are gone its cuz someone took them to lost and found. they were like 155 old school ones, so i turned them into 85 new school ones
I personally don't know why so many kids think nopoles is so gay. Theyre very unneeded in the park if you get used to it without them and after a day or 2 you like it better without just because they get in the way. I say convenient, although I use poles myself (I have no good reason for using them)
i dont own my own poles. everyday im up at the mountain i go into the rental shop and ask if i can borrow a pair. they always say yes and its free. and since theyre rental poles i dont really care what happens to them.. but they did get stolen once so i gave the rental guy a few bucks for um
had my poles jacked on wed at PC then broke my other set on thru, no poles was fun for a while but sucked balls when i went up to jupe made me miss them more than anything.
Ok so funny story. I was down in PC for spring break and wednesday we were filming and my buddy left his poles at the top of the kings park but my snowboarder buddies thought they were at the top of the lift so they snagged these poles for my friend. They had a sward fight then found out they weren't our poles we left them at the top of kings crown hoping that the owner would find them. anyway if those were your poles we are extremely sorry. It was just a big misunderstanding.
every ski instructor always ask me why i dont have poles, and sometime is just forget, but they always tell us as long as we look good with out, we dont have to have them, cuz the only time we use them is in lift lines.
the best source of poles is Goodwill. just get some sweet retro kids poles (for the shorter length) for like $5. i got some sick 80's style white with pink K2 ones. check it out kids!
Poles don't necessarily keep arms from flopping around completely, but the few kids that are still super super floppy with poles would be even worse without them. All I am saying is that very very very few people can actually make no poles look good.
