Pole Size

Hey All - I'm getting new poles tomorrow and want to know what size to get. 48' fits me 'properly' but think shorter poles would be better for the park cuz the ends of my old 48s always seem to get under my skis when landing.

Do you use shorter poles for the park? How much shorter?

Thx.

my park poles are like ten inches shorter than my real skiing poles. Poles in the park are pretty much just for looks anyway...the less swingweigh the better.

'My knee hurts' (Jeff Merat after grinding a lunch table for an hour instead of sitting in the ski patrol shack for his torm mcl and acl which he got earlier that day.)

I wouldn't go with poles 10 inches shorter. You may as well just ski without poles at all at that length.

Just get poles that are an inch/inch and a half shorter. It'l be fine. in fact i like em that way because I hunch a bit when I plant.

You heard it straight from the man kids, get Firefox.

Screw this I'm going skiing

Thanks.

Yeah, 10' shorter seems pointless. I'm almost six feet tall so three foot long poles would'd look more stupid than snollerblades. I think I'll get 46s...
