Pole Plants are shit!

ok whats the deal with these pro's throwing d -spins and other big tricks and doing a pole plant on the lip? They don't just make the trick look ugly but they don;t help you in any way! C.R is doing them for d spins and others do them in the pipe aswell.....Am I the only one that thinks pole plants are really ugly and gay?

 
It helps them set there rotation...

But i haven't noticed it...

i haven't seen pro's do it either.. well i've seen kriti leskinen.. but if you learn by pole plantin then you will pole plant.. i don't pole plant and spin fine.. i've tried it and i find it weird as...

Smoking pot leads to uhh... I forget.
 
Pole plants are used for timing. Some people use them, others don't. Whatever you do though, don't say it's less stylie, because you'd have to be a moron to say Candide Thovex lacks style...

 
it help with remembering/timing of your pop. it's also cool on little hips and stuff because you can do a corked 180 and then push of your pole to go back to normal.

and well i see his point i mean yes there are the reasons to do it.. but it would be that much more 'stylier' if it wasnt there... if you can do it naturally without the aid of a pole plant.. then it makes for a better trick...

Candide pole plants before his D-spin over Chad's and that is one of the styliest tricks I have ever seen.

i know cr does them he does one in propaganda or high society not really sure but he does it at mamouth.

People ski with poles...They should use them and CR & Candide have mad style. I dont think they take away from a trick. Go bitch about something worth while!

Candide makes everything styllie. I think this is a very worthwile debate. if you think it isn't. just don't read it - or read it and don't post, and it goes away.

I feel that pole plants are very not necesary. but I don't think they are dumb. well sometimes they are. they can really mess you up in a pipe. they can throw your balance off because if they are for timing and unweighting, then unweighting at the lip of a pipe can do some damage. I think that people just do them as a style thing... Candide pulls it off... I don't think that when CR does them that they look very good. I never pole plant. even in skiing though... just doing short radious turns, or when I am skiin bumps. it is my style... what ever. it is up to you.

they kinda are ugly/.....but if it makes the trick in the air more style i dont mind them
