I've just made some new poles by cutting down my dads old KERMA race poles and i want to know what the best sort of grip or grip substitute is. I want something fairly skinny to get my grabs better but still solidly grippy. Also preferably pretty cheap. Please help.
I did the same thing with my dads old poles. I cut them down andthen added duct tape to the top so I could but a bmx bike handle on it. Best decision/money I ever did/saved. The only thug is that I couldn't find a comfortable way to put straps on and I had to wrap a lot of hockey tape on the bottom of the handle so it wouldn't slide down when buttering or pushing. But it's easy just twirl the tape like appliying it to a hockey stick and you can make it the perfect size. Also I got to custom spray paint it so it looks awesome. Sooo much better then paying 40$ for line pin poles.
Bike grips work really well. I have them on my park poles. Just duck tape the top of your pole so its snug and slide them on. Their also cheap, my grips were $5.
that would be interesting.... but would actually work like amazing for awhile cuz they would just stick to your hand and you could completely let go and grab the ski!
Quick question i have put bike grips on poles before i like they feel on my hand since im used to it (becasue i bike) but i dont like the feel of it with my glove on any suggestions
I wanna make some ghetto straps cause I just have some quad grips or whatever on my poles and its sometimes a pain without strappydoodles. Ill keep you posted if i invent anything revolutionary.
