i was thinking about making an aluminum shim putting in inside the pole i broke in half and epoxying it back together, any ideas or comments

 
are you kidding? poles aren't worth fixing unless they were expensive, go buy some new ones

that works. Or get some fiberglass cloth, and resin it to the outside. Makes it unbeliveably strong, light, and looks sweet

get poles from your rental shop or the pole pile,

if your mountain has one...
