Polarized Goggles

So why are polarized goggles so much more expensive? Do they improve vision or whats the big deal about polarized lenses? Can someone fill me in because I'm looking at a pair of goggles and Im considering whether to pay more for polarized or not.

Polarized lenses filter out certain light rays that obstruct your view. Ever look into water with polarized glasses? you can see right to the bottom.

polarized lenses have a filter in them that drastically cuts down glare. so on super sunny days it would cut down on the light reflecting off of the snow so it would be less irritating for your eyes. i dont know if its worth it for snow goggles since my mirror lenses seem to work fine but i wear my polarized sunglasses everyday when i drive and they help a ton.

just go to a glasses specialty store and ask them to demostrate the defference, they usually will have a demonstration for it
