any one else a gambling degenerate, i play cards at least 3 times a week( not online but live games ) i do fairly well most time but last night i had a good night, cashed out $1450 in a 1-2 NL game.

yea man i hear you, i play poker at least once a week, and some times it costs me, in a single hand iv lost 300, but the next two i won 400 pots, so it was a good day over all

yes poker is the gear. i play at least once a day(20dollar buy ins) and shit loads online for real money. its a bit addicting but its better then crack! hahaha

1450bucks and you come and brag about it on ns?? if i won 1450bucks from a local game i wouldnt be fucken around on ns. for some reason im thinking it was $14.50 you won but you decided to come on ns with 83,000 members and try and make yourself look totally awesome.

I hate poker, it came on TV and everyone shit all over like YEAAH POKER WEST COAST CHOPPERZZZ! LOLOMG

well it was 1450.oo but that is not why i started this thread, i really just thought i would try to get a poker discussion going on ns. talk about hands, bad beats good wins and all the other intricacies of poker. i am sorry thast you dont believge me and that is your perogative but i am 27 years old, i amke close to six figures, and i play poker for large amounts of money, I hold tournaments at my house every thursday for 40 bucks pay top three, and i usually get around 20 people, when the tournament slims down we start a cash game 1-2 no limit with a 20 to 200 buy. that is where i cashed for 1450. but i was just hyped about it so get off my nuts for the year i am probably about even. that is the way my game goes i will lose a couple of hundred here and there then eventually hit a good night for a lot of money.

i play in AC about every other weekend i will be there this saturday, probably play the 7.50 15 at the trop it is my favorite limit.

not to mention that last night i took an awful, awful beat.

playing 1-2 i had pocket 4's and am under the gun. i raise to 7 total, 6th seat re-raises to 22, folds around button calls, and i call, 69 dollars in the pot for the flop 3 way action. flop comes 4s Ks Kh. i flop the boat, but ofcourse first to act i check it, 6th seat checks button bets out 25, i smooth call hopeing for mor action, 6th seat rasies all in for about 68 on top of the twenty five, to go all in, button calls , now i re raise all in for another 256 on top of the 68, and the button calls. 791 total in the pot( i am in for 371 of it) cards are shown i have fours full of kings, 6seat has a set of kings with a ten kicker, and the button has pocket Q's, i am so ggod i have to doged a king, a queen or a ten or any running pair, i am about 60% form here. turn is a blank, river the f--in case king i lose the main pot to quad kings, and the side pot to kings full of queens, ouch.

do you even ski or are you just here to talk about poker? looks like u know nothing about skiing, so get out

first off i stared a poke rthread in the non ski forum. secondly i actually snowboard, but used to ski. i have skied since i was 2, switched to snowboarding at 11 and have been riding since. third it is at least my offseason seeing that i live in the midatlantic region. so again get off my nuts

if you could actually read i said after the tournament breaks up we play 1-2 no limit 20 to 200 buy the average money through that game is about 3000.

noone knows these poker terms you speak of because we have lifes and dont need to gamble it away

well since you are semi new i will tell you that is mine, meaning my creation. Original Afghani, some real sticky. but im done smoking in my life, that was over a year ago.

pokers pretty dam chill after a day of skiing, ushually me and my buddies ski, come back and play some cards, then we head to the bar, all in all its a pretty good mix

thats alot of chash...we play 5 dollar buy in at my fraternity so we only win like 20 or 25 bucks...which is a lot of money for me...i just love playing

I've been playing for about a year now, and play both hold-em and five/seven card stud. I admit that i still have a lot to learn, but generally i am a profitable player at low limits. When i say low limits i mean micro - as a student i don't have much money at all to put up a bankroll, but i view my games at the moment as a learning experience for after my student life. I love the game, the tactics and skill involved, and don't consider it as gambling in the traditional sense. I play at in the local casino tournaments when i have money, the are £10 ($20) and £20 ($40) rebuys, although as i havn't played too many yet i have not made it into the money. I am actually having a breka from tournaments at the moment due to my bank account being waaaay into the red (not a result of poker, university is a more expensive pastime!). And D-loc, just because he posts in non-ski gabber does not mean he doesn't ski, and poker is not a waste of money as you say, it is a hobby, some even say a sport nowadays that can actually be a hell of a lot cheaper than other sports....for instance skiing.

Anyway, let me in on the cult, sounds good to discuss theories etc...

Hope good hands come your way!
