please do not refer to Poison the Well as hardcore, they are decent but not hardcore.

It matters to anyone who likes real hardcore. If you see a band like Cro Mags or Slapshot live then see poison the well (their live shows usually suck) then say they are hardcore.

If you listen to a song by someone like Terror, Count Me Out, or The Suicide File, then some on like like Poison the Well or Shai Hulud. You will see a big difference in the sound. Now I am not saying that poison the well or shai hulud are bad, though I think Poison the Well is horrible live. And for me I would rather see a good live band than listen to a good CD. Shai Hulud/Poison the Well have a sound very much influenced by metal. Though they do have breakdowns, sing alongs, and mosh parts in some of their songs.
