what does every one think of them. Also I am 5'10' should I get 175s or the 185's. I know the length isn't a huge issue, but since I'm spending the money I would like some opnions. right now I'm leaning twards the longer ones. Cause I was raised on longer skis.

word to that my friend, go longer. short skis promote laziness in form, etc. at least for me :)

now the old man sits until the days when time stood still, the hours always seem to fade, but the memeories never will. All the love that you gave me, the dreams in the night. Now I just want to thank you, while the day's still light.

I'm about your size and I rented 175s out west last year, it was amazing. Such a sick ski for any conditions, especially pow, and so light and solid landing for jumps. I lean towards shorter skis for manuverability but maybe I'm just lazy like the guy said

You didn't mention your weight, level, or where you plan on using them most of the time.

As a powder ski, longer is better since it floats higher and can go faster. I never noticed much difference in the turn size. They both turn on a dime.

In the park, I might choose the shorter one for its slightly lower weight and easier spinning.

Depends on your weight like ^^^that person said. But, for a reference, I have the PR in a 175, I weight 175 and am 6'0'. It's a great everyday ski at that length, but isn't stable enough to use on a big powder day...so I have other options for those 'special days'.

But for 70 of the 100 days I ski a year..the 175 PR is the ski fer me.

Sorry. I thought I said my weight. But it's 150. and just in case i forgot my height is 5'10'. I love to ski pow and back country atleast the first half of ever day and then after that I usualy head to the park if it is nice and is has softened up.. and when I go back home all we have is B/C and a heli-ski.

daddy-o your right. 220's would be nasty sick. The would be out of control in the powder. But then I just realized that my skillz are probobaly no sufficient to handle that length anywhere but in the B/C, and even then......prob not. But that would still be way tight to learn to ride a pair of that length...tell salomon to make me a pair ok.

well the 175s are big enough to float you in powder (150lbs isnt' that fat) so i'd go the shorter ones because it'll be easier to spin etc... but then again i 've riden both lengths and cant tell the difference manouvering-wise, both turn on a dime

No i probobaly wont grow much if any more. So it sounds like I should go with the 175's.

Pocket rockets are shit, foam skis. Don't buy them. They are too soft for railing powder and straightlines, and they are too wide for park. Did I mention space frame has a tendency to snap in half. Get the longer pair, but not PRs.
