does anyone know how good the new pocket rocket is? I want a ski thats awesome in the pipe and easy to spin on, but something that goes everywhere, carves, powder, and moguls alittle

anyone know ?

 
JP (the conceptor of the ski) said that they were made for powder but that they werent that heavy, so they must be good for spins. But if you want aa great all around ski wich is great in the pipe, buy the 1080!!!!!

If you want a good ski for the pipe then don't go for the pocket rocket. I have heard from people and it even says on the salomon website that they are not made to perform well in the pipe. Peace.

Yeah..i heard backcountry jibbing mostly, not too much pipe, they are too fat for the pipe i think...if you ever look at the ski in person, they are really wide, made for powder skiing

ya and they don't have to much sidecut either..kick ass powder skis....

Jp was using them on rails in the propaganda trailer if i remeber correctly...

but they are super wide, i was thinking of the pocket rockets, but now i think i want the head madtrix cause if it has a big mountain mode that should be good for powder as well as everything else

At a competition last week, the're was a stand salomon and they were there... they weight the same as 1080 cusson...

Pocket Rockets are the best ski ever. But...

They are too damn expensive and salomon wont let you pro-form there skis so there is no way i can afford them

I saw the pocket rockets at a ski shop and they were the widest skis I've ever seen...doesn't look like they'd be that good in the pipe...

 
they might be bad in the pipe but smiley said that they are good on tables and whatnot.

I rode on them out at hood this summer in the pipe, and I thought they were fun in the pipe, it was like riding on a carpet or something. They werent great by any means but still fun to fool around on. Its hard to get such a wide ski on its edge and for that reason they will not be that great in the pipe, you need that edge hold going up and icy wall. But if your into hitting huge tables and skiing the pow 70% of the time their so worth it. peace

 
well the east doesnt have a whole lot of powder

but this last winter was convincing me to get some fats

 
they would be terrible out east... if ya ride alot of powder these babies will do it all....except mybe pipe..
