i've been skiing back country in CO for about 10 years now (i'm 20) and i'm finally ready to have a little more fun now that i have basically mastered the art of cruising and surfing in just about all conditions. everyone i talk to tells me to go with the new rockets. what size ski would all ya freeriders recommend? i'm 170, 5'11' and have always rode 180cm. thanks

185 cm. no reason to go any small at all. first, it a twin tip so the 185cm ski is really only about 182 cm. also, the ski is really really, really soft, so you'll want the extra length if you want to have any sense of stability. i'm 5'9' and 175 and i thought the 185 was way too soft for doing anything but trees all day. they turn super quick though.

wouldnt the shorter skis, 175cm for ex, be better in the pipe/park? my primary use will be in the bc, but i would like to have a do it all ski. thanks

If you looking for a soft fat ski that rips powder but you want shorter then 185 try the Biggest Dynastart Little Big fat..it's got a 88mm waist, and i think it's like 179cm or something.

or Scratch BC 182cm. Check out those too. Might be a good meduim for ya.

hmmmmm... It's actually a really tough choice. 185 with a 90 waist..i think the pocket rockets is..it is a Big ski. But the are soft, so the 185 would let you stomp your landings. And you would be the Mack Daddy in the park throwing down on those big sticks. But it would be a little easier on the 175 in the park. If you can i would say try them.....

if u have the chance the best way to go about this is by demoing. i would if i could but the alot of the places around here dont really do it. then make your shioce based on which ski u like best or feels better. good luck , i doubt you will make a bad choice either way, both great skis.
