Pocket Rocket 185 Huge Dissapointment

I didn't buy all the Salomon hatin hype. But I should have. I bought these skis last year. I am 6'1 210 lbs. Ski mostly in the east. I loved the way they ski'd in all conditions. I was really impressed as to how good of an all-mountain ski the PR's were

I went to get them tuned for my trip to the county on wednesday..

DE-LAMINATED ....

I went and bought the Armada ARV 185... boy was I wrong. these are a true all mountain ski

so they delamed as you were getting them tuned? that makes no sense.

send em back to salomon or blame the place that tuned them and threaten to sue

NO they de-lam'd underfoot, and I didn't notice. The guy was about to tune them, and he noticed something was wrong, when he was trying to fill a gash.

sure as shit, there was a gap runing all down the waist of the ski. It isn't that bad, but it is obviously gonna get worse FAST. I ski them about 3 times a week so far rhis season...

No excuse

I'm surprised you weren't pissed that a 100lb child could overpower them in steeps. I know I was, but ARVs will be a good replacement...you'll be stoked on those.

'I'm not asking for any help, just maybe for you to get off your ass.'(my dad)

I don't know... I had good control of the PR's, and I was pretty impressed as to how they responded to someone my size.

I am a very aggressive skier, and spend my days in the trees, steeps, and bumps. but they de-lam'd. so clearly they couldn't take the beating.

I took the ARV's for a few turns at my local mtn. last night.. I was stoked. I forgot what it felt like to actually carve a turn on hardpack

Damn kids... Around here, 'you paid too much' unless you got pro form prices. That's not a horrible deal, it's just not that great.

sorry. I don't have access to pro form, and I'm just a normal dude who walked into a ski shop and saw ARV's marked down $200.

Not a scenester like the rest of you groupies

I have the 165 PR and think it is great. I love the way it skis everything but hard pack and ice... but then again I also like my 1080's.

if that's CDN that's a fucking dope deal.

My PR's edges just seperated after a year, I'm gonna get them warretied or whatever but it still sucks because they were new last year and I don't get a chance to ski that much. Next year I am gonna get som MSPs for sure.

So who's got my heady ARV's for under $450

I guess that my annual income more than compensates for the difference you lifties get in pro form prices and what I paid for my ARV's

show me cheaper

why the fuck are you getting big mountain skis if you live on the east coast?

'why the fuck are you getting big mountain skis if you live on the east coast?'

Because I pick my days in the east, and get about 10 days out west everywhere, toolbox

same with me, I live on the east, but I ski more days out west then I do on the east
