Yeh i was leaning towards the air just wondering if that extra protection in the 2.0 is worth the extra money and peace of mind. Thanks man

Tried both on, found no reason to go extra bulk & extra cash.

The air is the most comfortable back protector i've ever had. I had the original vpd before that and the 2.0 is pretty much same as far as i know. Air is less bulky, super light and comfortable and offer way enough protection for skiing.

i think the real difference is that the 2.0 has higher rating for motorcycling than the air

Yeh thats roughly what i could figure out, thanks for the reply. Think ill go for the air and then might get a pair of the vpd shorts with the money saved. Pretty sick of nasty hip bruises from whacking rails

Just out of interest do you bother with the waist strap or does the vest sit where you want it to without. Looks like the sort of thing thatll ride up an annoying amount

I always use the waist strap, but it is a bit annoying as it creeps up pretty easily. I wouldn't use it without tho, the vest is not that tight that it could stay in place without the strap

I don't and the vest stays perfectly in place.
