POC Receptor Bug vs Smith Maze

In terms of comfort and functionality, which one is the better choice?

Poc receptor bug is definitely my favorite helmet so far, soo comfy and good looking.

It really depends on the shape of your head. It would definitely be a good idea to try them both on and compare them.

But if you don't have that option, I would recommend the POC Receptor Bug. I love mine, and I've never had any problems with it...

I agree with Juice.Doctor. It really depends on what you find comfortable. I have a receptor bug. It feels great, and looks very well made. But never ended up using because I tried on a friend holt and just fell in love with them. The most comfortable helmet I have ever used PERIOD. Try em on and see which fits you the best.

I actually own both helmets... I like my maze more than my poc. the maze is more comfortable and gets the job done. as far as i know, poc may have a higher saftey rating. I use my maze for skiing and poc for urban. never had problems with either. The only real difference is that Pocs tend to run smaller than other brands are more snug fitting.

Yes you can take out padding/ear pads. I love my maze, i have a weird shaped head or something because its the only helmet that felt good on me.

I have had bolth. I feel like the maze fits deeper on my head so i like it better. (

Exactly right about the sizing. I got a xxl thall receptor and I have the keep my hair short to have it fit comfy, if not it's pretty tight, even with the bigges size. Keep in mindi have a big head but nothing freakish. I wear under a size 8 fitted and the xxl just was barely big enough, so i def recommend trying both on as apposed to ordering off the Internet blindly

Get straight steezy with the BOLTH. ahahaha. but yeah i wear a 7 5/8 fitted hat and the XXL POC is barely big enough. The maze on the other hand is the lightest helmet in the industry and fits so nicely. Also goggles underneath feel really normal

Not trying to thread jack but I don't really wanna make one either. I like the bug in terms if safety rating and i have a kind of small head and I keep hearing they run small. Can anybody reccomebd the bug or the giro shiv. The two I have basically narrowed down to.
