POC fornix vs. receptor

hey, i'm finally gonna get a bucket for my head this year. I've tried a few and have narrowed it down to POC. they seem to fit pretty great and feel super comfy so now its just up to the visuals. I'm between the Fornix backcountry or recpetor baccountry.

If you have either one, post a pic of yourself wearing it! The internet seems to mostly just have the promotional pics.

I have the bug but the fornix looks way more dope. look on poc's facebook and stuff there's a bunch of pics of people wearing them all there

Ok, so i've been to every dealer around. Nobody has any of the Backcountry versions of either helmet with the MIPS system in stock. Does anybody know if the MIPS helmets have a thicker or thinner foam layer? i would like to keep bulk to a minimum.

thats the last piece of info before i order...

opening day is coming up soon!

The fornix is by no means safer than the bug. If the bug fits go for it, it is a multiple impact rated (backcountry only) helmet while the fornix is not. It has two full shells with full aramid protection while the fornix only has aramid bridges. The MIPS system on the bug is in between the two shells and the foam, meaning that the entire foam inner on the helmet moves, while the fornix has the MIPS directly against the head, which seems not as good of design. Most importantly, the fits are very different so buy which one fits you.
