Poaching

i was riding at a hill today...and we went under the ropes to try and find some powder. and a ski patrol was already on the run hadjust went under. she skied with us itwas cool. she really didnt mind i guess.

Think about the people that will have to risk their asses to rresue you if you get hurt. So, if you are going to do it, then make sure that you are safe.

i dont cuz its usually either closed for not enough snow or avy reasons. i can usually find something funner without cutting ropes.

I lost my pass for a couple weeks last year for poaching. It wasn't worth it. I was safe, but if I had triggered an avy the people below me wouldn't have been.

my friend back home almost died because he ducked under a line and unknow to him they were doing avy work, he was real close to a bomb and if it had slid he would have been buryed. Hes an idiot though

I love it. I jumped the rope (feels better than ducking :P) at St. Marie and rode a foot of pow under the lift. ALso, there's a sweet 10 foot drop or so. ANd a cool rock you can carve up and wallride. I love closed trails.

i hit that the other day when itwas snowing..pretty sick..you can hit like 4 or 5 little drops in a row.

i think of poaching as a ski at your own risk type deal. So if you're gonna poach just make sure you're cautious.
