Poaching at Snowbird

Hey there Utah folk, a friend and I are coming out there from Tahoe next week and I'm just trying to figure out what the deal is on snowbird. Easy to poach or hard to poach? Green pass? Anyone work there that has some vouchers they want to unload? I have squaw vouchers I'd trade or I might buy them off you for the right price. Only skied snowbird once when I was a little kid so looking forward to a couple days up there.

I do not live in Utah, but I have (2) 1 day tram and chairs pass, and (1) 2 day tram and chair pass for sale.
I can beat any ski shops price. PM me if you like.

It would be really tough to poach at the Bird. They are always checking passes at the base lifts.

They don't check above the base lifts tho? The tram at snowbird is actually a viable way of getting up the mountain, right? Not like squaw where the cable car is useless. Are they tickets on wickets or do you ski through a gate that opens for you?

I'm not trying to screw your mountain over or anything(well maybe I am just a little), I'm just hella broke trying to go ski at this comp for dirt cheap.

At squaw they give us all a few vouchers for working there every year, guess all I'm saying is that if any Snowbird employees have any vouchers they'd like to sell or trade I would be phsyked.

It is nearly impossible to get up Gad, Peruvian, or the Tram without a

ticket. It is easy to shuttle passes down at the bird though and ride

the upper lifts all day. So if you know anyone with a season pass, this is probably your best option. I have been asked to show a pass at Gad2 on

several occasions, so it is still fairly risky. The tickets are of the sticker variety with a wicket, so bring some wire cutters.

I'm assuming your are just riding the bird for the FWT this week, but if you are trying to ski elsewhere in the area, Brighton is very easy to poach with no ticket, and Solitude has the electronic tickets that open gates so it is easy to get a pass there around noon.

The only way to get to poach at the bird would be to climb a peak and skin in to Mineral Basin. Snowbird is the best resort in regards to their policy on tickets.......
e.g.1) they literally have signs that say ticket checkers check every ticket2) say you buy a 2 day ticket and you use 1 day but wanna sell the other day. you just cant bring the stub, get a pass and walk away. they actually make you put it on your coat before you leave the ticket counter.
