Plexi Glass For top layer?

Is it a good idea to put plexi glass as for the the top layer, i was told it would crack really easily, and i was also told that plexi glass is lexan, is any of them true?
 
use puck board.. u can get it fom your local rink. they throw it away and replace it periodically
 
Yea, where i live we don't have puck boards for the hockey rink we only use wood because our community is poor and don't worry about this thread anymore i got my box finished finally and ill post it up soon when it gets to my house
