Please wear seatbelts...RIP

Last week, a family friend passed away in a car crash. Kevin Dimeo was a 20 year old freshman at providence college. This kid was well loved by everyone, and had the biggest heart. Kevin was the kind of kid who would help out anyone, was extremely genuine, and truly one of the chillest kids Ive ever known. At around one in the morning on Nov 10th, kevins car, an large SUV hit a tree after he somehow missed a turn. Kevin wasnt wearing a seat belt, and he died because of injuries from the crash. Many people that I know have been impacted by deaths in car accidents. Id like to emphasize the point to Newschoolers how important it is to wear a seat belt. Wearing a seatbelt is such a small decision, but it also can have severe consequences. Please NS, Buckle up, and enjoy every moment of life, you never know when it will be your last...
 
100% completely agree. Not trying to take away from this thread because it truly is sad to loose someone at such a young age, but just putting emphasis on wearing a seat belt, I would not be here right now if not for a seatbelt, so be smart and buckle up.
+vibes to you and everyone who knew him. Sounds like he was a great person, its devastating when such a good person goes too early.
 
first thing i do when i get into my car. i dont even start the car until my seatbelt's on. just doesn't feel right otherwise. it's too sad to hear these tragedies that are completely preventable. my dad had a really scary crash when i was a child. it's one of my earlier substantial life memories. he was airlifted from the wreckage and spent a long time in the hospital. i was at a friends house when it happened and when my mom picked me up and told me the news i just remember feeling horrified. he wasn't wearing his seatbelt either, and got extremely lucky. you just never know. an accident doesn't even have to be your fault. people just need to do what they can to protect themselves, especially when doing some as simple as buckle up doesn't really take any effort to do.

Not trying to take away from your buddy, but I just dont get how people don't wear seatbelts. It takes one second to put it on and that one second can save your life. I just don't understand.
Sorry to hear about your friend though. He sounds like a really great guy. A couple years ago a friend of my sisters was killed in an accident while he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. ++++vibes man!
 
This kid went to school with me when I was younger, such a loss, but its a wake up call to all of us, life is precious. Also, don't drink and drive, not to take away from the post but he was a bit of a notorious drunk driver. This hits me hard as my grandfather was hit by a drunk driver when he wasnt wearing a seatbelt and was killed instantly. Cars are dangerous yall. Dont drink and drive and always wear your seatbelt, life can be taken away so quickly
 
I hate the seatbelt law. But like the others in this thread, I always wear mine, and think it's a really good idea for everyone to do the same.

Seatbelts have saved a ridiculous amount of lives since they were invented
 
Lucky for me I feel really uncomfortable driving without one I'm reallly good about it, but man thats so sad to hear though vibes+.
