mass isn't the same thing as metric, there are american units for mass, you can use (pound) lb as a mass measurement, it would just be retarded, like most of our measuring is.

people in this site have said that you never actually touch anything. its not totaly true to say that because when two masses get close the moulecules/atoms on the perimiter will interact with each other.

the point of interaction is between the electron clouds of the molecules/atoms and when a froce is applied pushing things closer, they do not actually touch but deform. (try to imagine pushing to opposing magnets together)

I think i have that right but im sure someone else my be able to explain it better.

So in essence they do not touch but merely interact with each other.

(the nucleus of atoms (protons and neutrons) very rearly interact except in extreem conditions eg the sun on nuclear fission/fusion bombs.
