PLEASE stop excessive slow-mo in edits

There's nothing sicker than watching something stomped real-time.

Don't even slow it down a little bit.

You want it to look smoother wear baggier clothes.

this is why i think i should have won the cat skiing in retallick, the shots all came in 60p, half speed, and i sped most of them back up so you could see how gnar the shreddage was

Slow motion is an effective way at making something stand out due to its separation from the rest of the film.

...rest of the film

...rest of the film

...rest of the film

...rest of the film

...rest of the film

Yes, if a film is all in slow motion, the slow motion has absolutely no purpose and is annoying.

Man, i downloaded the trial for Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 and i cant even find out how to fucking use slow mo in it. HELP

If there is a really sick trick in an edit, and it is in slow-mo, then you get to enjoy it longer. But yes, it is bad if it's excessive.

i dont mind it but like in that vid it was a little much but i'll still watch it i'd just perfer my vids not to be all slow mo unless its a sick ass trick

i personally think it can be good if it fits with the riding and music, IE tom wallisch's windells seg in turbo

the whole reason i loved realtime so much was because of the lack of slomo. some movies are almost entirely slomo, it gets old and kinda boring. it should be like skateboarding, most tricks in real time, then some of them slomoed if they stand out. when i see henrik do a massive sw 14, i want to see how much time he really is in the air, and the lunacy of how fast hes spinning, and how fast hes going into the jump. when every trick is slomo, it makes all the jumps seem like the same size, and it makes steezy tricks look the same as every other one. i realize that slomo adds time to movies, but come on, the entire mt hood segment in turbo was slomo, let me see some gnar in real time!
