Snowbird Park & Pipe
Update for 2007/2008
Due to customer demands and changing dynamics within the ski industry,
Snowbird will focus its efforts on the areas in which the resort excels
– specifically world-class terrain and exceptional snow.
For the 2007-08 season and beyond, the Baby Thunder area that has been
devoted to terrain park in recent years will become the Miner’s Camp –
groomed blue and green runs with no terrain park features, jumps or
rails. The Miner’s Camp will be a dedicated learning, slow skiing and
riding zone with mining artifacts, the Mini Miner’s Trail, as well as
interpretive and ecology signage. This return to additional beginner
and intermediate terrain is critical to our guests.
The Big Emma terrain park, rail garden and Superpipe will be in place
for the 2007-08 season, snow permitting. The resort’s staff will
re-focus its efforts on creating a first rate Superpipe as well as
small to medium jumps and rails. Snowbird will no longer offer large
jumps.
