Ok here is the deal. A good friend who is an awesome skier that comes out of missoula montana recently attempted suicide.. I am not to sure about all of the details but he is in the hospital, and possibly brain dead... Miracles happen, please pray for him.
 
im going to start off by saying no offense intended but i know it will still be taken offensive.You sound like he was involved in a huge accident where it wasnt his fault. Dude, he attempted suicide, I dont think it'll be a miracle as much as it is that kid being lucky he's still alive. Your friend put himself in a situation where he couldve ended his life, its no ones fault but his own hes in the hospital right now. Now I have no idea who this kid is but thats just my 2 cents.
 
well, i feel sorry for this fellow. If he wants to put himself away then he should be allowed to. But hopefully he isnt brain dead so he can thikn about his choices and start off on a clean slate. Good luck
 
Yeah the thing is it makes absolutly no sense, the kid was an AMAZING mogul skier, he was going places with it. He has alot of good friends, just like any other highschooler, had fun, and SEEMED to have a happy life. Whatever made him do that to himself is probably beyond all of us, only God himself knows. This kid is an amazing dude, pray for him, it would be amazing if he got to ski again.
 
Don't worry, i expected a few things like this. I guess it is his fault but when a person is actually going to commit suicide they have lost all sanity. They wouldn't be able to think logically, if he was able to he would not have done it. I don't ask for your critisism, I ask for you to show some compassion towards a fellow skier, whether or not you know him. so don't be a heartless piece of shit, and if you are going to don't reply to this thread. thanks
 
a human is a human... no matter how fucked up they may be... he deserves prayers, not only to recover, but to gain sanity again, and realize life is worth living
 
my best friend commited suicide by slitting his wrist. I feel for you man.

Depression sucks. There's no way to get out of it without some major help from friends and counseling. Not to have people feel bad for me and shit, but I was in a deep depressive state for like a year when I was in 7th grade and was seriously contemplating suicide.

Sounds like your friend had a bad bit of that. Just try to help him through it.

people always think that suicidal people WANT to kill themselves or that they are selfish, or that they deserve it if they try it...but depression is a medical disorder and should be treated as such. It has to do with chemical imbalance in the brain. The proof of this fact is that depression is treatable with drugs. It's also considered a genetic disorder. It's a tragedy that so many people think it's a choice, or that the person should just get over it. There doesn't have to be a reason, often you can't just 'talk about it'.

So, that said, i hope for a miracle for you friend. Depression is a tough thing to deal with, and hopefully he pulls through and gets the help he needs.
 
I feel for you man. depression is truely a killer. and for anyone who thinks suicide is a stupid decision... it isn't a decision it just happens when pain overwhelms our coping mechanisms for pain
 
Thanks for all of your positive feedback! I am going to drive down to missoula on sunday and see him i will keep you updated on his condition
