Well I am doing a hip hop show with my boy James on one of our college (Emerson) radio stations. Their other one is WERS but this one is the less official one. But if you live down by Boylston st. tune into 99.9 FM but most people will have to check out www.wecb.emerson.edu and you can stream it live from there. Please please check out our show it would mean a lot. The time slot is from 5-8 pm EST. I have class late so I will be joining for the last 2/3 of the show (aka at 6 pm, so thats when you should really start listening). So check it out!
 
Even if you just check out half an hour or an hour it would be dope. The more listeners the better chance we have of getting first choice on slots next semester. And more importantly I'm just curious to get everyones input. In the future people would be able to take requests and shtuff. WERS has changed formats within the last couple weeks and so a lot of people involved are having a lot of mixed feelings, so this year WECB has more hype around it because more people are interested.
 
Yea sorry guys there was a problem with the signal! They just went on air yesterday so its expected to have some errors. But hopefully next week things should be straightened out, Ill remind you guys and take requests. Thanks for trying to tune in much appreciated!

Thanks for checking out the show everyone that did. Be sure to check it out in the future, I will probably just bump this thread every Weds or something. Anyway. If there is any requests for next week or whatevs let me know in advance and Ill hit you up with a shout out or something. Only my 2nd time doin it so Im still getting the hang of everything but its soo much fun. I will have part of the show up soon, we were able to get it recorded (but only partially because we had some problems at first). Thanks all.
 
shit i missed it again! I know being as i havent tuned in to the previous ones, its probably a bit stupid of me to make requests, but i would like to hear some C-Rayz Walz cause I have only heard a few of his songs (rain forever mainly) and I want to hear more.
 
Haha, we love C Rayz. Don't you worry. I will try and give you guys a heads up a little earlier last time, I didn't get to remind everyone til pretty late in the afternoon. Hopefully tonight I will get part of the show up in MP3 form

Hey guys, as promised here is part of the show. Its only the 2nd half of the show as we were having problems with the burning drive. The first 3-4 mins of the recording is clipped horribly, midway through Aesop "Dust Storm" we fixed it though. Lemme know what you think.
 
Oh and just so everyone knows this recording is 192 kbps. The stream itself is only 96 kbps. A nice difference in quality.

- just a suggestion: state the name of the song and artist more often cause they're so many good tracks you guys were playing it'd be a shame for someone to miss out on discovering a new artist

- speaking of which, in your last show i heard a track with lyrics about "spacing out," it kind of sounded like breez evahflowin', and then another one about a black escalade. would u happen to know artists & song titles of these two?

Thanks alot man! The feedback is much appreciated. Soon the WECB website will be fully up and running and we will be having an updatable playlist as we do the show. We are both still trying to get a feel for how we wanna do the show so it will only get better as time goes on. This was only my 2nd show.

- The "spacing out" song your taling about is: Briz and Breez Evahflowin' "Spacewalking". Fucking rediculously ill tune.

- The song you mention "black escalade"...: is Vowel Movements "Escalade". Samples the wonderful Bob Dylan tune Lay Lady Lay, one of my favorite Dylan tunes. It was in some flick, I forget what? PBP? Jibtech? Someone I forget...

- I am definately going to try to keep upping the shows, we plan on recording all of our shows, just because its really easy and not everyone is free on Weds from 5-8 pm. So to answer your question I am going to try to keep getting shit up.

Hey man. Unfortuneately due my extreme halloween strungout hungoverness I forgot to grab some blank cds before leaving at 10 a.m. for class, which goes straight through to my show. It was a pretty ill show though. It was the craziest day for me and it was really good to be able to sit down and play beats for a few hours. Anyway, be sure to check out next weeks show, hopefully I wont get too drunk on Tues night this time to remember cds. Thanks for your interest in the show.
