some may know about my sti that i built from the ground up from stock and put ever bit of effort into. well i traded it for a jeep srt8 to be more practical as i am / WAS building a home and needed it for my job as i am an electrican. the kid traded me a stolen jeep with a swapped vin that was professionally done soo there was no way i could find out intil i brought it to a dealer.. which he did and thats how he found out and then dumped it on me.. now im in debt, possibly going bankrupt and i lost the ability to build my home and my holidays are ruined. PLEASE HELP ME MAKE THIS VIRAL as the MA and NY state police will not help or the DA OR ATT general or insurance. i spent alot of money and many hours building that car and was ready to move on with my life and now my life was basically ruined and the 50k i spent total ont hat car is gone. im having trouble finind people to help me in this situation and maybe with your guys help i can get my price and joy back. if anyone wants any information let me knowmy thread on a subaru forum where you can read more information about my case:

yup and now that i figured everything out and it actually took off i made a new one becasue now i know nobody will help me legally

 
There's no way that car exist in one piece anymore. It's probably been parted out onto several different chassis with legit VINs. Sorry man, you got boned. Didn't you receive a title before you gave him keys?
 
car is in fact still in one piece he is still driving it around we know a friend of his.. yes i recieved the title when it went down. read that thread before you just to conclusions.
 
ok so we should get allll the NSG that live around him and fuck these kids up. worst comes to worst. strip the car leave the trceble items and there you go most of your car is back in your hands +/- a few parts
 
Damn man, that sucks. My brother just got his Evo VIII stolen about a week ago. Shit was jacked at 8:30 AM. Good luck man, ill do what i can.
 
Can't you sue him or something since he found out that his car was stolen and knowingly traded it to you?

You can't b/s/t stolen goods even if you don't know. And you're saying that he knew.

 
Steal your Car back. Go put some pressure on him to swap you back and make it happen. Otherwise your essentially fucked.
 
I'm pretty sure I'd go break that kids legs if I were you. I'd go to walmart and get some gloves, a baseball bat and some pantyhose, go to the kids house and wait for him to leave. Then just break both his knees and run away. If your feeling really ballsy you could take the keys to your car and steal it, but then you'd have to chop it up real fast.
 
its on a dealership repair order he left in the car that the dealership found the vin to be fake

and i cant trade back the state police took it

Man really tough story...I'm sorry to hear this. I remember the other thread. I mean this in absolutely a non dick way but this is why I never want to spend money on anything...I would hate to have my life ruined over a car...
 
You don't need to trade him back

You said he was told by the dealership. Find out who it was and get some kind of a statement.

If he was told his vin was fake and then traded you a car that was most likely stolen, knowing that, that's not legal.

 
Hire a private investigator or take a week off work cuz ur broke stake out in a place where ull see the car. See the car. See where he goes get all the info on him. Pay a big ass intimidating dude to kick his ass take the car and his license so he knows where he lives. Leave the jeep in his driveway w no oil in the motor call the jeep in stolen. Big dude bribes him for title bc he has license. Problem solved
 
as another fellow STI owner i say i'm sorry to read about this, more so because your STI was one of the sickest around and a true goal for most owners.

I hope the kid gets his, i read both threads on nasioc, shits fucked people are scumbags

If you want real help make an account on reddit(if you don't already have one), then post this in the subreddit r/askreddit. It will get you many views and some help.

I don't understand, what is your current situation with the police? they just took the jeep and told you you were SOL for your car?
 
Saw this on NASIOC a couple days back. I had NO FUCKING CLUE it was a fellow New Schooler. This absolutely enrages me. I am seriously debating whether I should try and beat this kids ass myself. I am shaking with rage at my computer right now, and it didnt even happen to me. From a fellow WRX owner, let me know if theres anything I can do to help.
