Really stressed. Don't really know where my skiing is going. I just moved out west with my family from Wsterville Valley. I was learning a aton out there and now I don't know how much I will progress. It isnt as structured. I know you don't need the greatest coaching to get good but I know I had a chance to learn at Waterville. The only thing I ever want to do in life is ski, but I just don't think I will ever be good enough. Please tell me how to be something. I work my ass off on rails and if you want to know some of my jump tricks you can watch last years edit. Anything helps. Thanks.

If you want to be the best you gotta work the hardest. Hit the gym, eat raw eggs, and feel no pain.

ski with your friends, don't worry about going pro or anything. The best kinda skiing is with friends and having fun.

Advise? Calm down. You say all you want to do with your life is ski, well, then do it. You live near a mountain right? So go skiing and have fun. I see no problem here.

your sad that you moved out west... Isnt that what everyone who lives on the east coast want to do?

Ski enjoy it. Don't worry if your not progressing fast. Make every run as fun as you can. Charge as hard you can. Just ski

It sounds like you have some angst about "making it" with skiing. Don't ski to be a pro (and not to be one of those naysayers, but you'll probably never be one unless you are incredibly talented and put in a metric shit ton of work with a bit of luck); ski for fun, plain and simple, as others have said. The sponsored/pro tunnel vision will yield to greater things in skiing.

Additionally, you don't need a coach to progress. Period.

my advice is if you're going to make a thread on newschoolers make sure there aren't any obvious spelling or grammatical errors in the title
