def biggest played out trend is when kids go out to tj maxx and buy like 3 of the BIGGEST t shirts sold there and stack them under there jackets and then ride no poles

Bottomline:

The baggy fit was copied from the gangster look which was in turn, copied from real gangsters who live in the inner cities. These people are black people. Dont get me wrong, I am not a racist, but primarily people who live in these areas are black. The reasoning for huge clothing was due to the ability to be able to wear them, and not grow out of them.

So essentially, you are trying to look like a poor person who cannot afford to buy clothes.
 
i really dont think your theory about the reasoning behind baggy clothes holds any water. so they dont grow out of them? i mean, yeah, some gangbangers are young, but i would say most are at least high school level where they arent really worried about growing out of their shit. the gangster/baggyclothes thing came from prison. penitentiary inmates were only issued two sets of uniform, so as you can imagine, people's shit got stolen a lot. so they started getting one normal fitting uniform, and one really baggy one, so they could comfortably wear them both at once. plus, its easier to conceal a weapon. so when they got out, everyone wanted to look like the OGs with baggy clothes and no shoestrings and shit.

im not really sure but I think it could be a combination of both. obviously once you have stopped growing you dont need to buy shit to fit into. However, if since u were a kid you have been buying baggy clothes until they fit you probly like them better when they were baggy cuz that when they were new. Hence when ur done growing ur gonna buy baggy clothes cuz its what u like and what ur used too.

I can't understand what's played. I only see this shit on the internet, I never see people complaining on the mountain itself. shiiiiiit we need more skiing!!!!! I know I was a lil pissy missy before I went for a couple days but after that I couldnt give less of a shit what others do as long as they love it. Maybe I'm the only one who gets that peace of mind after a good day.
 
unzipped jackets. lol it bugs me to see people with their jackets unzipped flying down the mountain. why where a jacket if its cold out? and if its warm enough to have it unzipped why not just take it off lol

oh and the super xxxxxxxl stuff. i wear my jacket and pants a little baggy but thats because thats what i like to wear and its confy. but if your just wearing baggy stuff because thats what everyone else is doing then its just dumb

skis were invented around 5000 BC to help with hunting, getting around, and for the miltary,

so essentially you are trying to look like an ancient nordic person trying to hunt when you put on your skis
 
I dont like seeing baggy cloths but usually thats not a problem at my small local mountain. I dont relly follow trends I wear what I want. BUT all vermont ski racers leave their helmates unbuckled it drives me absolutely nuts BUCKLE YOUR DAMN HELMAT!!!!
 
yes!!so many kids seem so concerned with their image that they can't smile and there i am grinning my ass off and not giving a fuck, skiing is supposed to be the most fun thing ever, that's why we do it

i agree sorta but thats also what i hate when people are like " oh stop trying to be black" like wtf just because someone where's baggy shit there trying to be black( i personally dont where baggy clothes so its not a personal experience but i hear people saying it all the time) ? only black people cna where tall tee's or something? i didnt know what you wore had to do with your race. Like i dont want to sound racist but i hate how people think its fucking cool to be black and shit. And then there black people who try to play it off so fucking much they try and act thug when really they are just like most people. like give it a break you didnt grow up in the fucking hodd stop trying to act like it. its fucking stupid.

Ha, I have a funny story about smiling. I always smile when I ski. It's hard for me not too. I was in the park recently, and I went up to hit a down box. Hit it, then went to switch up and fell backwards and my friend just died laughing because he said I looked back when I was about to fall and I had the biggest grin on my face because I knew I was about to bite it.

After, some kid asked me why I was smiling because I just bit it hard. I kinda just shook my head in disappointment.
 
So is everything new that comes along in skiing just a trend? Can't it just become a part of skiing (unless it is really stupid.) Goggles under the helmet doesn't really seem like just a trend really, it is that same as over the helmet, because some goggles don't fit well over.
 
Branded clothing.

I mean it's nice to have sick clothes and outerwear, but it pisses me off when people go into shops and see a sick pair of snow pants or something but because they aren't a popular ski brand they dont like them. And go pick out a ugly pair of ski pants.

burton might not be a ski company, I would rather have a nice pair of thier pants than an ugly pair or orage pants or something.

yeah man i really liked it before but now i see it everywhere i go and i feel embarrassed for those two, three and even sometimes four guys rocking it all looking identical
 
i admit shit to myself and myself only, the biggest trend is orange, it has to stop, its not that steezy, its not that serious either.maybe its cool, im dumb, a genie eats a bagle, lighten the fuck up everyone
