Is anyone going to Plattsburgh stat or live in plattsburgh that rides?

Not many people look at the regionals so i figured i would probably get more results here

I'm glad my post prompted this thread to be moved to the correct area.

There should be a good number of people up in that area. So close to a lot of good resorts and ski areas.
 
hmm not really actually, theres whiteface, and jay is like 3 hours away, thats pretty much it.
 
You don't like Stowe or Smuggs?

Sure Smuggs lifts are antique, but the terrain is good and the snow at Smuggs and Stowe is both great.
 
how far from burlington is stowe? I was debating between jay and stowe for one of my passes this year. What one is more worth it do you think
 
yo i go to plattsburgh. were trying to setup a freeride club and have rail jams all the time
 
Damn, i went down to the SA office the other day to try to see about setting up a ski club to have rail jams and trips and stuff like that but they didnt seem to into it to me.
 
There probably is a guideline or rule book essentially on extra curricular activities sponsored by the school. we should look into it and see what the schools policy is, and learn how other clubs got started up and what the requirements are for starting a club, and then go from there.

 
I went to a meeting last night with the SA and we talked about the ski club. They told me that this year is probably going to be the last year that they run the ski trips, next year (if we can setup a club this semester) they will transfer all the funds over to us to do trips and events. Me and my RA (spinverted) on ns are going to be getting the paperwork today and starting up the club. We have to make a "Club Constitution" and get something like 20 signatures of people who would be interested in joining, should be easy.

The few people at the meeting were all into having a railjam on campus, maybe even just keeping a rail setup all year. We didnt really get into that so much and they were students so the whole liability and insurance thing that conner was talking about might be a problem. We also put the idea out there of using Yokum 200 and getting level 1 and a snowboard movie premier kit. They said that was so doable all we have to do is set a date and reserve the room some night.
