Plasticy Taste in Nalgene

Hey guys. Quick question. Whenever I leave water in my nalgene for a day or two the taste seems to get very plasticy very fast. It tastes like crap and its annoying having to change the water.
Is this just bad plastic in the Nalgene that is breaking down?

I know when I leave my water, in a plastic bottle. It starts to taste like plastic. Nalgenes are just thick plastic, nothing special. Get a glass bottle.

i have found the same thing but i usually just drink the whole thing within a day or so and its fine.

get a sigg that way it'll have a metallic taste instead.

I think stainless steel ones are the safest. you def should stop drinking from the one you have

i always assumed it was mold when i left water in one of those for a while
