Plastic wood for rails?

Hey

I recycle and bring it all in ever month or so. When I was down there last week I knoticed that they had bit 4x4 inch by 12 foot long peices of plastic wood. they melt down the bottles and mould them into blocks. You can cut it like wood and it's really slick, I dout it would ever need wax. Think I should go for it to make a rail?

I'll find out prices and might buy some, if so i'll post some pics.

A kid I know made a box out of two 2x4's of that plastic wood... and to be honest it slid perfectly.

Not sure, I sent an email and asked for the price of two 4x8 by 16 foot peices. I wanna make a 8 foot flat then 8 foot down and i Might! depending on the price, take a torch to a 16 foot section and make a c or s rail and bend it and shit, not sure if that will fuck it up, i could sand down the bad parts. Any ideas on that?

fuck keystone has that sit on a deck at on of the food places, but it slippery as hell to walk on, so i bet it would work for a rail.

because you would know right, i mean at 13 you do know pretty much every thing.

Dude just go for it, i knew a guy that made a box out of that stuff and it slid real well.

if regular wood was wet, wouldnt youre edges dig into it? i ve hit wooden handrails when it was dry, and we dug in a lot. we also had to wax the rail with skate wax a lot so we could slide. i would think that if it was wet you dig into it more cause it was softer.

ultra-decking. I know it works great for wakeboard sliders, you need to screw it onto regular wood underneath because its too flexy by its self...make sure to sink the screws all the way in.
