i finally got around to watching planet of the apes and from what i heard the ending was confusing so i was ready for it... and when i saw it i thought i understood it. but now i realized that i might now get it.

did what happen with the apes on the spaceship happen at earth too? or am i missing something.

i watched that movie so many times and every time ive seen it the ending makes no sense whatsoever, it pissis me off cause i so want to know why the apes are rulling on Earth

I watched that movie like a year ago but I understood it then and can faintly remember it now. Basically that bad ape guy you thought was killed or imprisioned/defeated/whatever wasnt and he regained his power.

but how did he get to earth and shit like that? i just don't understand how the apes took over earth and when.

this is what i think happened, or what they want you to think happened. When he warped he hit a time rip and shot ahead in time and did land on earth, made monkeys and men friends but then when he left (he was already on earth, if you saw the origonal they were in new york) and went through another rip, putting him further in time. Landing back on earth and thenthe monkeys had once again suppressed the people but expanded outside of the area they had started in.

It was still a shitty ending, he was suposto stay with that chick of his. Or take her with him

 
The only problem with that is that there was the Time counter thingy. It went forward in time at the begginging, then at the end, it went back. If they had just said 'screw the time counter thing' it might have made sence.

hmmmm ya I didn't remember that time counter thing. I don't know then. either way he should have taken that chick with him.

 
in the new one it does NOT take place on earth. true he hits some kind of time warp. so does the original monkey/ape whatever. and so does the space station. the thing is they all hit different warps in time and as a result end up in different eras. the station appears first and the super intelligent apes there evolve in to the apes on the planet. next comes marky mark and then the ape that left the station appears. the counters are inaccurate because he leaves in the pod that the first ape was using. (with time travel #'s don't mean shit.)

at the end he warps ahead in time but not back to earth. it is the same planet that he started on. for the sake of hollywood you have to assume that the apes evolved on a similar path to humans. like with cars and a pseudo lincoln memorial and stuff. you can't compare this one to the originals (which did take place on earth) this is entirely different. it is not a sequel or prequel or anything it is tim burtons 're-imagining' of the original premise.

this is what i read a while ago.

You know at the end just before marky mark is about to leave, and the old ape d00d is going through his bags? He takes something out of the bag that allows them to travel/learn how to build devices to travel like marky mark.
