I know this is a dumb question but i havent flown in years.

I just bought nicorrete gum to try and quit smoking. im going to cancun with my brother and mom for 5 days. is it ok that i bring a whole box on the carry on...i.e is it at all possible they will be suspicous?

dumb but id rather not risk anything
 
You'll be fine, there's no metal and it's not liquid.

But I don't know how your willpower will stand up. I'm assuming you're consuming plenty of alcohol while you're there and there are cigarette machines all over the place selling smokes for next to nothing. I don't even smoke and I couldn't resist.
