My friend just got caught for plagerism on a huge paper and he's fucked. This is the issue. He sent his paper to a friend so the friend could just use the quotes in the paper out of a book. Instead, the friend used the whole entire paper and both my friend and his got screwed. Now they need a story on how my friends friend stole the paper from him so my friend doesnt get screwed. Any Suggestions on what a good excuse story would be?
 
so your friend who got caught plagerising sent the paper to his friend and he used the same paper...so now both are fucked, am i right?
 
Have friend A who shouldn't be in trouble just say he was trying to show friend B how to format something or something like that and he gave him his paper as an example, and friend B just went and used it. That's pretty much sounds like what actually happened anyway.
 
Kid A posted his paper on the internet asking for help on how to make it better....

Kid B saw this and stole it not realizing it was a kid in his class....

Kid C had sex with both of them at the same time...

Kid D did none of the above....
 
and be VERY hopeful that your teacher is stoned or something, because plagiarism isn't something that teachers take lightly, as it is in your student handbook.
 
tell the truth. Say that the one kid wanted to use some of the references but then he stole the whole paper. Otherwise just say that he went on the kids computer and emailed it to himself and thats how he stole it.
 
I'd go with that. No use trying to fight it.

I had a group project to do once and one kid (not the smartest...) offered to do the essay portion. I was happy to let him do it and not have to worry about it. We get into school the next day and he has it. It's the right material and it sounds like he put some thought into it. Then I realize it's familiar... Wikipedia! I was pissed as I had to redo the entire thing.
