I'm going Michigan on the 18th. My Grandparents (where I'm staying) live in Lapeer. I go down there just about every summer and we kind of wanna go some places. What would be some rad places to check out? Anything like beaches, rivers, lakes, mountains, any cool scenery. Thanks guys! Post pics if you can

Caseville is a little beach town on lake huron thats like an hour or 2 from lapeer thats super awesome to visit in the summer.

FLINT FLINT FLINT!

NUMBER ONE MOST DANGEROUS CITY IN AMERICA REPRESENT MY NINJAS FLINT FLINT FLINT

up north mich has better scenery if you wanna go an extra 4+ hours.

lake st clair, st clair river (where i have a cottage) and lake huron are all nice places and both lakes have good beaches, and like soulskier said tigers games are fun. every thing is realitivly close and i really live like 40 mins from lapeer in a small town called yale.

Definitely head west/northwest if you want to check out some nice beaches and stay by lake Michigan. You could also go to a Tigers game downtown/wander around Detroit a little bit/look at old buildings. If you find yourself in Southeast Michigan go to Birmingham, Royal Oak, or Ferndale. They're always packed at night and there's lots of bars, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. There's lots of stuff to do. Michigan is really nice in the summer.

near you: you have the rec center in lapeer (i live close to there thats how i know). lake st clair. tigers game.
grand haven and grand rapids are dope i love it on the west side of the state. longboarding and such is really fun, and the beaches too. wake wars are @ the b.o.b in grand rapids like the 16 and 17 of july that should be really fun.

Detroit isn't nearly as scary as everyone makes it out to be. There are certain places you definitely don't go at night, but during the day most places are fine, and around the stadiums and stuff there's plenty of awesome places. It's no Chicago or New York, but you're not going to die just by stepping foot into the city.

Comerica Park is awesome if you like baseball, even though the tigers are awful if Verlander isn't pitching, The beaches on Lake Michigan are nice.

If your willing to get in the car for awhile Travers City in the north (not UP) is a great town. They also have a cherry festival with some of the best pies tarts whatever you will ever taste if it's going on.

Traverse City! then all of its surrounding area, beaches, skim boarding, boating and cool towns with sweet stuff to buy etc.! plus i think it will be film festival at that time

yeah id pick detroit over flint anyday. and some of the suburbs of detroit are really nice, like grosse point for example
