Places to camp?

Myself and a buddy or two were thinking of driving up to Whistler for a few weeks this summer. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if there are places around that you can camp for free or at least cheaply, other than maybe just a parking lot. Thanks

buddy, there are dozens of places to camp. where is optimal depends on your priorities. myself, I camped out near lost lake for a few weeks as it was within walking distance to village, being beside the lake was sweet, a nearby hotel had no locks of their shower facilities, and it was close to blackcomb for glacier riding. but parking is a problem if you have a car. there are many other spots to camp out though. tons of nice places in function. alta lake road has many spots. there are places very near village where the three daves lived. just pick a nice spot in the woods really.
