Are there any ski/snowboard shops that can engrave your name into your skis.

or anykind of messege you want?????????????????
 
not a direct answer to your question, but we've got laser cutters at school for building models that im sure could be used to etch the topsheet. there are multiple settings like cut or just score, etc. however, i dont think etching would be that noticeable unless it was a huge font and was painted. let us know if you get it done tho, could be cool.
 
just engrave your skis serial number into your arm, so if someone steals it, you can find them and prove they're yours
 
theres no good spot to engrave them

i have a friend whose skis were stolen and he had his name engraved on the binding and written with sharpie on the ski and we found the guy that stole them skiing at the same hill he stole them from and he changed the bindings and colored over the sharpie and since mt friend has know way of proving they are his (since he bought them used) we get to watch that asshole ski with them.
 
you should beat the shit out of him thats just fucked up and i always save the receipts for bigger purchases i make for important things like skis, computer, etc just incase never know when it wil come in handy
 
idk where u can do it now, but back in the day it was really common, i have old people come into my shop and ask if we still do that all the time. shops used to do this all the time apparently
 
yeah eh lost the receipt and the kid that stole them is like ten and always skiing with his family so bad shit would happen if we beat the shit out of him
 
We have a really old ski engraver at my shop. Things old as hell and i wouldnt do it to my skis. Its designed for super old straight skis with super thick topsheets.
 
If you do it, seal it with caulk...it'll also make it more obvious to see on most skis, and may act as a theft deterrent.
 
we informed the resort, and the dad was who we confronted bout it since it was he who we saw with them swapping the bindings out
 
Just use a xacto knife and cut your name into the base.. Really big... After you cut it remove the chunks from the base and sand your bases. Then take paint and paint over them. Once your done with that just take some old candles and wax em up. works real good.
