PK Hunder just won KOS

That cork9 tail from phil was one of the sickest thing Ive ever seen.

And PK dub12... amazing... stomping it like its nothing...

Hope Gus is alright?

Pk's 12 was unbelievable! Although i think the 10 looks more smooth. Bet Oscar was stoked on the company at the end of that edit..

buuullshit im tired of jon and he doesnt have as much style as tom or henrik in my opinion idk why they didnt get 1st and 2nd they should have slayed everyone...maybe xgames even though xgames are kind of gay

Ive only seen the qualifiers so far, but id have to disagree. Whether or not you plow into someone shouldnt count towards your score, and while gus' double wasnt anything special, it was clean, and well landed. Henrik's switch 12 had a poor landing and he didnt hold his grab anywhere near as long as he usually does. I think maybe Jon had something else going on there~

PK deserved to win. And although I'm a big supporter of Harlaut and Wallisch as the future of park skiing (see my previous post), and although I too am tired of Jon's kangaroos, they didn't deserve to get 2nd and 3rd with the tricks they threw in THIS particular contest. Not to say that had they performed their best, they don't have the talent to do so. Or even to win first. Because they do. I think it should've been Hunder, Cosco.

I really dislike jon's egotistical view of himself. I'm pretty sure he is the only mainstream skiers' hand i wouldn't shake if we crossed paths.

have you ever met any pro skiers? most of them are pretty egotistical. its not a big deal though.

i would also like to point out that its hilarious that jon got second place.

i feel like casbon was sick and jon's double was so under control. when ever i see harlaut ski i kinda feel like he's out of control. he is sick and has a lot of skill but it's just not the same.

good lord some of the shit said on ns never fails to surprise me...

why the fuck are people still saying "i can't believe twall and henrik didn't win, its bullshit blahblahblah..." are you fucking retarded? they didn't throw down hard enough, that's why. i'm not hating on these two, i'm just saying what happened. it's about consistency, especially in city big airs and the guys that have their tricks on lock do the best, as proved here. pk and jon can stomp their shit all day whereas most others were crashing quote a few times.

who was they guy that said he was bored of jon's kangaroos? he stomped the piss out of two brand new switch doubles tonight, so i have no clue where that come from.

that bullshit about training? are you kidding me? how does the argument that because someone didn't train for the comp therefore they deserve to win more make any sense? what even is training for freeski? in my opinion it would all fall under the category of 'fun' but w/e, i'd like to hit some waterramps if i get the chance...

why can't you lot give props where props are due? pk and jon threw down way harder than the others, both threw some sick tricks and they won. what more is there to say?

in other news, i did think that comment from jon about gus was harsh and unprofessional but maybe there's more to it idk... also, dumont wasn't wearing lenses- a bunch of guys at london freeze weren't either...

When jon questions the judging and gives props to skiers he feels weren't given the scores they deserve from the judge he is an egotistical asshole. When he hates on gus he is an asshole? Half of this thread is people hating on judging and saying henrik got ripped off. I respect that jon said how he felt. It didn't seem like he was feeling like he got ripped off, he was just frustrated that he didn't agree with the judging, why can't jon do that when so many people on here do it after every competition?

well... while i respect this and agree to a certain extent, I must say this:
The mentality of people like Jon, Jacob Wester, etc. is much more focused on competition, they ARE "competition skiers" and I'd say they put a lot more emphasis and time focusing on the competition thing. Tom Wallisch, although also a damn good competitor, is a style guru, and I can see when he goes out park lapping, or sessioning anything, he's got a different mind set, he just rides and has fun, Yes he's fuckin crazy, will hit a jump 75 times in 1 afternoon, bust dub corks, lock down everything every direction with steez, etc. but he just skis for different reasons than I see Jon or Jacob doing it...at least these days. But ya, "training" is a lame term in our sport, but when Jon or even Tanner Hall spend countless hours hitting water ramps, and doing other "training" type activities OFF SNOW, you gotta see that some people actually are training.
jah jah

He didnt wash out at all, sure it wasnt perfect, but you cant argue henrik's landing was better~

Like I said, it was well-landed, I said his trick was clean not his landing~

hahaha... hell yeah. you see how fast i got up? haha jsut kidding. i have never been more scared of afterbang in my life. my knees were KILLING me during finals though. they still are! i'll be fine i think, nothing major, jsut some bruises. comp was super fun!

rastafarider is right. you guys need to chill down about wallisch. sure hhe is and amazing skier and his parts in turbo and slamina whas some of the craziest this year, but cmon, you can't totally expect him to go and win his first major big air contest over many of the worlds best pros.

I even feel bad for him, he had so much pressure on him, so many on ns was so confident he would end up top 3. I'm sure that if everyone just stopped taking it for granted he will win everything then he'll start to.

Otherwise I thought the judging was spot on. PK killed it, his trick is fucking sick. Jon was a nice suprise, doing the hexoflip for the first time in a comp and stickin it perfectly and casabon had maaaaad style.

And dumont did not have any lenses - watched it on tv.

dude for real, most impressive thing Ive seen in all of this mess was how fast cosco got up after getting judo rag dolled. looked like gus was out for the count however.

was that wallisch with the kangaroo flip tail attepmts?

that was fucking baaaaallllleeeeerrrrr

Phil had the most stylish trick, PK and Jon had style with technicality. Solid top 3 and major props to all 3 for killing it.

they are not on a different level at all......that was 1 competition so stay in your box until more competitions take place

yeah man stylie tricks in a comp called king of style, that's preposterous!

and yeah dude TOTALLY agree with you on simons lenses, i was really concerned he diddnt have any but he DID and its pretty important people know this
