Boston Shows Announced

They've sold tens of thousands of tickets for shows all over the world on their wildly successful reunion tour that started back in April, and now they're coming back to Boston where it all started in 1986, and where fans passionately claim the them as their own. PIXIES announce that they will play two Boston-area concerts - Tuesday, November 30 at Mullins Center in Amherst, MA, and Wednesday, December 1 at Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA.

The Amherst and Lowell dates will be the PIXIES' first Boston-area concerts in more than a dozen years - the last Boston-proper show the band played was on November 27, 1991 at the Orpheum. Tickets go on sale for both concerts on September 11 at 10:00AM at the venues' box offices, at all Ticketmaster outlets, and at ticketmaster.com. For the Amherst date, tickets will be priced at $35.00, and at $35.50 for the Lowell date.

yea, saw the pixies about a week ago. i had never really listened to them but they were so good. death cab for cutie was sickter, but there was some other weird band that opened for them too...the decemberists? weird stuff. pixies kick ass though

They're playing with The Mars Volta when they come here on Oct 23. That concert is gonna be ill... Can't wait!

I can't wait to see them a week from friday in Berkeley. I would love to see Built to Spill open for them, I saw them about a month ago and it was a great show. Does anyone know who is opening for them in Berkeley?
