need to get next seasons bindings while they are on sale, for you guys that have skied attacs and pivots in park which did you prefer?

I have a bunch of skis and all of them have Pivots. This year I went from a 130bsl to a 120bsl boot. On one pair of skis I forgot to adjust the fp for the smaller bsl. I skied several days on the skis with no releases and no issues until I noticed some small movement in my heels and realized WTF was going on.

14534274:Quaggy said:Can confirm, I only own Pivot bindings for this reason. I was skiing this season and heard the characteristic "snap" of an ACL when I went down hard. Knee felt whack as hell, got an MRI and it was only strained... I attribute the strained ACL rather than a torn ACL to my bindings
14534587:Session said:That's not how it works at all.
14534613:Quaggy said:There is not a degree of release freedom in the heel. The boot will NOT release from the heel horizontally. The only binding on the market right now that actually has a horizontal degree of release freedom in the heel is the Knee binding.
14534613:Quaggy said:I was trying to provide OP with some anecdotal evidence, turns out my attribution was incorrect! But here is some legitimate evidence from user [tag=133130]@s-hand[/tag] (PM him, he's got the paper somewhere):
"NO. The rotating heel allows for more elasticity which prevents pre-release and makes the bindings less likely to putt out. It does NOT help prevent ACL injuries. If you look at the heel, it is clear to see why this is the case. There is not a degree of release freedom in the heel. The boot will NOT release from the heel horizontally. The only binding on the market right now that actually has a horizontal degree of release freedom in the heel is the Knee binding.
Believe me; I just researched and wrote a 6500 word engineering research paper on the topic."
Could it be argued that my outcome would have been the same or different if I had on Tyrolias or any other binding? It would be difficult unless it was in a controlled setting... but still... I ain't broke, so catch me on Pivots

14535097:PartyBullshiit said:They look like real tree camo.
14535099:Don_Kedic said:Ya the only camo ones I could see online were the crashuer snow camo ones. I need to know where the fuck this dude found these lol. No way someone is selling knock-off pivots right?
14535040:Non_State_Actor said:Show me a picture of a broken 15 and I'll show you ten broken 14s. I don't mean pull outs, broken screws, heel plates, any of that.
14536361:itzPebbs said:14s are indestructible. I know several people who have broken half moon plates on 15s after not even one season. And broken heel plates might as well be a broken binding because you have to pull the heel piece to replace it.
