PIVOT BINDING

It hasnt been proven but supposedly Look Pivots help with knee injuries by having the heel piece pivot right or left when the rider ejects. I bought the pivots for the simple fact that they are all metal and have better durability.

First of all pivots are pretty bomb proof ( great for park because they hold up to getting banged and bashed around) the one down side is brakes are like 75 bucks so if you break them it sucks, I'm not sure about the actual technical stuff but (I have a pair but idk technical terms) basically they release sideways and normally and can sometimes be a hastle to put on in powder

More elastic travel in the heel so the less likely they are to prerelease. The pivot heel also allows for a smoother toe eject. Look pivots dont release laterally in the heel, contrary to popular belief. If you look at the heel piece you will notice the heel is trapped in by the two bars. The only pivoting heel piece that is marketed to help with knee injuries is Knee Binding since they can release laterally in the heel.

I don't think so if your heel is in the correct spot and the pressure is big enough to tear your ACL, then your boot will slip from those stems first. I think.

not more than any other binding that is set at a similar din.

Stop saying it's less likely to cause an ACL tear. It has not been proven, because it DOES NOT.

They make you look pro.

So much this and how the heel piece sticks up really high. The majority of people I see riding pivots/fks ride the 120's which are plastic, so if there reasoning is "bomb proof" they have them for looks.

Here is next years colors for the Pivot. With Rossi no longer marketing bindings under the Rossi name I think we have seen the last of the orange FKS.

Don't worry you will see plenty of banana bindings.

what is the difference between a pivot binding and a regular one? what does the pivot help with?

Most regular bindings don't go ass far up your ass when landing backseat as pivots do.

Love the look pivots and all, but mine got beat up pretty fast and pretty easily. I have had mine for about a year, and my brake pedal is really messed up (jams or doesn't release) and my brake arms are beyond repair. Besides those flaws, I can't even count the number of times those bindings have saved my knees

Sums it all up basically

But if youre into that kinda thing - I highly recommend them. It's really a lot of fun :")
