once again, you dont know what you're talking about... as far as skis go lateral stiffness refers to stiffness from tip to tail, torsional is the sideways twisting stiffness.
why would lateral stiffness be from tip to tail? lateral means sideways. are you wrong or is it just one of those ever present skiing unsolved mysteries?
just think about it. on a map the latitude lines are vertical, and longitude lines are horizontal. so assuming the tip of the ski is up and therefore eqivalent to north on a map, tip to tail stiffness is called lateral stiffness
